I've wrote the same article in french earlier today, and as soon as it was online, I've noticed that a HUGE amount of visitors are actually searching about the playoffs in every part of Canada and the USA, so I've decided to do a quick translation, since everyone is welcome here!
So what does this "frenchy" has to say about the 2011 NHL playoff? Well, ask no further: here's my predictions:
Eastern Conference
Washington Capitals (1) vs. New York Rangers (8)
Prediction: Washington in 6.
Philadelphia Flyers (2) vs. Buffalo Sabres (7)
Prediction: Philadelphia in 6.
Boston Bruins (3) vs. Montreal Canadiens (6)
Prediction: Montreal in 7. (Habs rules, by the way!) ;)
Pittsburgh Penguins (4) vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (5)
Prediction: Tampa Bay in 7
Western Conference
Vancouver Canucks (1) vs. Chicago BlackHawks (8)
Prediction: Vancouver in 7.
San Jose Sharks (2) vs. L.A. Kings (7)
Prediction: San Jose in 7
Detroit Red Wings (3) vs. Phoenix Coyotes (6)
Prediction: Phoenix in 7
Anaheim Ducks (4) vs. Nashville Predators (5)
Prediction: Nashville in 7
As you can see, I expect very tight series! ... And last year, I have not been with my heart, but rather with the statistics (and I was all wrong). This year, I'm changing my method! I go with my instincts!... and I will have no remorse if I'm wrong!
One question remains: how my Habs will react against Boston! ... I just hope we do not go out like this season's last game between the two teams because the golf season will begin early if that's the case. But since the Habs are always able to pull a rabbit out of a hat when you least expect it, I still have blind faith.
